Before April is coming soon, I have a news want to share with
you! Do you know about PyeongChang Winter Olympic before? PyeongChang Winter
Olympic will be run around 17 days, from 9-25 February 2018 at PyeongChang,
Gangneung and Jeongseon in Gangwon province, Korea. There will have around
50,000 participants from the 95 countries. The slogan of PyeongChang Winter
Olympic is Passion. Connected.
In the month of March, PyeongChang Winter Olympic is running
the Olympic test event right now! The test event will be unique opportunity for
athletes and officials to familiarise themselves with the competition venues
and the host region. It will also be an ideal platform for the public to participate
and engage with the events and the games. In total, 3,000 athletes are expected
to participate in the test events to familiarise themselves about the venues
and many of them coming to Korea for the first time. In this test run event, it
could have as well as 1,000 volunteers to help this test run event.
For the Olympic test run, there are running BMW IBU World
Cup Biathlon 2017 and IBSF 1st International Training Period start from 2 March
2017 at Alpensia Biathlon Centre. There are still have other competition such
as Audi FIS Ski World Cup 2017, World Wheelchair Curling Championship 2017, Jeongseon
2017 World Para Snowboard World Cup Finals, PyeongChang 2017 World Para Nordic
Skiing World Cup, Jeongseon 2017 World Para Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals, and
BMW IBSF World Cup Bob & Skeleton PyeongChang presented by JIN AIR 2017.

After we know about the Olympic test run event, we should
know how they prepare their PyeongChang Winter Olympic. Let’s we look. For the process
of 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympic preparation, there held 8th Meeting of the
IOC Coordination Commission – Venue Tour in 13 March 2017. In 14 March 2017, IOC
President Thomas Bach visits Korea. The next day, 8th Meeting of the IOC
Coordination Commission – Press Conference. IOC President Thomas Bach visits
Pyeongchang Olympic Village in the same day.
