About PyeongChang Part 2 : Stadiums in PyeongChang

Hello everyone! Continue with the last 2nd post that about PyeongChang tourism resources. Today, I will talk about the Stadiums in PyeongChang. To let you guys from any place in the world get a understanding better for the PyeongChang in South Korea.



First and foremost, I would like to introduce PyeongChang Olympic Stadium which is a stadium will be a temporary venue for the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2018 Winter Paralympics. The stadium is located in Daegwallyeong-myeon, in the precinct of the Pyeongchang Olympic Plaza, about two kilometres (1.2mi) away from Alpensia Resort. The Olympic stadium will be installed on an 80,000-square-metre (860,000 sq ft0 site in Hoenggye. It will be a temporary 50,000-seat stadium, which will be dismantled after the Games. The stadium will also be the final major Olympic venue to be completed., with end of construction expected in September 2017. In addition, next to the stadium will be Olympic exhibition hall, as well as traditional food markets and other attractions, which will remain as heritage facilities.



Furthermore, Alpensia Biathlon Centre is one of the place that with beautiful view. Alpensia Biathlon Centre is a biathlon venue in the Alpensia resort, located in Daegwallyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do, South Korea. It was 1st compledted in 1998. The renovation as part of later established Alpensia was completed in 2007. It will be the venue for the 2018 Winter Olympics.



Besides that, Alpensia Ski Jump is the symbol of 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympic, located in Aplensia Resort. It was originally planned to be the venue for the opening and closing ceremonies for the 2018 Winter Olympics.



Yongpyong Alpine Centre is a competition venue, which is located in Yongpyong Resort, was completed in 1998. It has hosted four FIS Alpine World Cups Games and the 2006 IPC Paralympics WorldCup.



Lastly, the Boakwang Phonenix Snow Park is a ski resort in South Korea. It is located in the township of Bongpyeong-myeon, in the country of Pyeongchang. The Bokwang Snow Park will be the venue for the freestlyle skiing and snowboard of the 2018 WInterOlympics. It is also one of the locations where the television drama Autumn in My Heart was shot.
