Hello everyone! It has been turn
to April month already! Do you guys still remember the 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympi 🇰🇷 program post last month! Now I’m going
to to talk about the PyeongChang Tourism Resources and Stadium in this post.
So, have you been visited PyeongChang before? I did
it. I went to there in November 2016. The first impression to the place is
cold! This is because PyeongChang is a popular place for the ski lovers.
Pyeongchang-gun is a country in Gangwon province of
South Korea located in the Taebaek Mountains region. Pyeongchang will host the
2018 Winter Olympics and the 2018 Winter Paralympics. Pyeongchang has a slogan,
“Happy700 Pyeongchang”. Pyeongchang country
takes its slogan from the city’s average elevation. Pyeongchang’s average
elevation is approximately 700m which is said to make people live in best
condition.
Then, after finish introduce Pyeongchang, it’s time to
introduce the tourist attractions in Pyeongchang to you guys already. Firstly, I
am recommending that you may visit the Sky
Ranch which has 40-year-old history with a huge ranch of 9 million square meters. Currently,
about 400 Holstein cows are bred up along with a hundred of hanu (Korean Cow)
in an eco-friendly way. The ranch located in a high land, so the weather is so
nice and even in summer.
Location:
468 Hoenggye-ri, Daegwalnyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
Secondly, I will recommend the Samyang Ranch, the Asia’s largest green pasture, this vast meadow
is where milking cows feed on the fresh, clean grass. The view from the
plateau, reaching a height of 1,470 meters is remarkable as well. If you go up
to Daegwallyeong Observatory, you can see as far as Gangneung, Jumujin, and
even the East Sea beyond.
Location:
708-9, Kkotbadyangji-gil, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
Furthermore, the next lovely place is Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm. It raises
sheep on an area of 195km2, and is privately owned. There are many
ranches in Pyeongchang, but Daegwallyeong Sheep Farm is the only ranch that
raises sheep. Visitors can view the sheep during their visit as the sheep
grazing field is surrounded by a 1.2-meter-long circular walkway. It may will
take about 40 minutes to walk along the path.
Location:
483-32, Daegwallyeongmaru-gil, Daegwannyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
If you are a food lovers or like to cook yourself, I think
this tourist attraction should be suitable for you. I would like to recommend Jeonggangwon because this is the
Traditional Korean Food Culture Experience Centre was established to preserve,
research, distribute and promote the values and merits of traditional Korean
food culture in the world. There are various hands-on facilities for
traditional food culture such as an exhibition hall, cooking room, and a fermentation
room, covering an area of 10,000 pyeong. Particularly, it is one of the good
place for anyone who interest in various aspects of traditional Korean food
culture.
Location;
21-4, Baegokpo-ri, Yongpyeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
Other than that, I am recommend you experience the Woljiengsa Temple is in the forest of
the valley east of Mt. Odaesan, and it is composed of 60 temples and 8
monasteries made into one large temple. There is the Seongbo Museum where you
can view the Buddhist culture of the Goryeo Dynasty (918~1392). Woljieongsa
Temple of today was restored after the Korean war in 1950 when the
Chilbubojeon, Yeongsanjeon, Gwaneungjeon, Jinyeonggak and 17 other buildings
were burned.
Location:
63, Dangsan-ri, Jinbu-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gnagwon-do
After introducing so many tourist attractions places
during your visit, so how your accommodation? I really recommend the Yongpyong Resort is situated at the centre
of Korea’s Baekdudaegan Mountain Range, and sees an average of 250 centimetres
of snowfall per season, which makes for excellent skiing conditions. Not only
that, the resort includes a 45-hole golf course, gondolas, swimming pool, and other
facilities. Yongpyong Resort has an impressive ski slopes, including the
popular Rainbow Slopes, and offers excellent facilities for skiers. In addition,
if you have been watched the K-drama “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God”, you
will realize the episode 9, Eun-tak is seen working a part-time job at a ski
resort. This ski resort filled with beautiful snow is Yongpyong Resort, one of
the selected venues for the upcoming 2018 PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
Location:
715, Olympic-ro, Daegwanryeong-myeon, Pyeongchang-gun, Gangwon-do
That’s all about the Pyeongchang tourism resources I
would like to share with you all.
